Saudi Ceramic Company is one of the oldest and leading ceramic companies in the
Middle East, that manufactures and markets ceramic wall and floor tiles, vitreous
china sanitary wares, ceramic road markers and electric water heaters.
Incorporated
in 1977 in Riyadh by a group of prominent businessmen with the backing of several
Saudi financial institutions, SCC today has a production capacity of 23 million
m2 porcelain & ceramic tiles, 1.8 million pieces of sanitary ware, 800,000 pieces
of electric water heaters and 1.2 million pieces of ceramic road markers per annum
and had a sales turnover of SR 615 million which is equivalent to US $ 164 million in 2007.
The company, which embarked on an ambitious expansion project in 2005 to increase
the total production capacity of its tiles to 32 million sq.m will be fully operational
by 2008. The first phase of this project with a production capacity of 7 million
sq.m became operational in 2006 with the production of porcelain tiles, which helped
the company to become the first Saudi Arabian tile manufacturer to produce high
quality porcelain tiles.
The company is headquartered in Riyadh and has 5 area offices in Saudi Arabia that
cover the entire Kingdom and one in Dubai, UAE as well. The factories are located
in Riyadh Industrial city and are spread over 450,000-m2 areas.
SCC has a total
of 2 modern tile factories, one sanitary ware factory and one plant for electric
water heaters and has a workforce of over 1,700 people. The company owns and operates
26 exclusive showrooms in all the major cities of Saudi Arabia.
SCC is an ISO accredited company. It also has accreditation from CE, SASO, GS and
GOSSTANDART, GOSSTANDART (Ukraine).
